Technical Support Engineer, GSM GPRS Packet Core
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibilities:
This position will provide emergency and specialized technical support for our GPRS/GSM/UMTS Packet Core wireless customers.
????????????? Be responsible for the immediate investigation and recovery of system outage and degradation and the follow up analysis leading to the final resolution of the root cause of the problems
?????? To provide prompt and timely investigations and resolution for field problems in GPRS/GSM/UMTS products.? Provide technical assistance to our field service-engineering group in Asia
?????? To interface with oversea Design and Design Support group to investigate and resolve design issues.? Work with VO product groups or integration team to be service readiness of new release and product
Requirements:
?????? Minimum one year working experience in Telecom design or field support or testing. Willing to carry after hour support mobile on the rotation basis and to travel to Asia customer sites as required
?????? Min 1 year working experience in GSM / GPRS field support services TAS/ETAS /VO function is preferred
?????? Experience with IP, Unix, LAN, X.25, CCS7 operation and administration would be an advantage
?????? Good technical and analytical/trouble-shooting skills
?????? Speak fluent English and Chinese. Good oral and written communication skills
?????? Pleasant personality and good interpersonal skills
?????? Easy to work with others and be a good team player
?????? Knowledge of GPRS/GSM/UMTS wireless network is an advantage.
?????? Electrical Engineering/Computer Science Bachelor degree or equivalent
